For the Old World feel of the Tuscan bathroom, use warm, earthy colors on walls. Terra‐cotta, yellow metal, burnt orange, mustard and ocher provide a rich backdrop for rustic aged‐wood cabinetry, copper or oil‐rubbed bronze sinks and faucets, and wrought‐iron hardware. Faux surface applied with a color rinse provides dimensions and depth, resembling the look of older plaster. For golden yellow walls, use Lion Yellow for the base cover and Golden Mist for the most notable cover ‐‐ both by Benjamin Moore. Include accents in sage or olive green, cobalt blue, poppy red and deep plum or purple.
Using vibrant tile across the shower wall is another way to include attractive details to a bathroom without taking on a large amount of room. You are able to continue the tile to the floor for the same impact.
